Works with quality control, production control, manufacturing engineering, and maintenance departments to maintain schedules and affect changes and revisions. Ensures maximum use of capacity and requirements. Analyzes the quality and quantity of production and institutes corrective actions to eliminate deficiencies. Monitors and addresses priorities, backlogs, breakdowns, and other aspects affecting planned scheduling. Participates in finding solutions for repetitive product complaints. Drives the implementation and usage of systems of production tracking and quality control.
•Manages production supervisor outcomes by selecting, orienting, training, assigning, scheduling, coaching, counseling, and correcting behaviors as needed; communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, and appraising job contributions; recommending compensation actions; adhering to policies and procedures. Sets production and support resource priorities. •Maintains manufacturing operations by following and enforcing standards and procedures and good manufacturing practices; coordinating production schedule requirements and capabilities; ensuring steady flow of materials; solving production problems; directing equipment adjustments. •Documents manufacturing results by completing logs, and records; calculating and reporting production; noting variances. •Maintains quality manufacturing standards by completing production control charts; reporting quality data; analyzing recordings and statistics; studying, evaluating, and re-designing processes; implementing changes. •Maintains manufacturing equipment and processes by coordinating preventive maintenance actions; scheduling repairs; facilitating team discussions to identify equipment and process problems; identifying solutions. •Maintains safe, secure, and healthy manufacturing environment by adhering to organization standards and policies, and to legal regulations; alerting others regarding potential concerns. •Contributes to manufacturing and organization success by welcoming related, different, and new requests; helping others accomplish job results. •All other duties as assigned.
Associate’s degree in related field, or combination of education and experience.
5+ years of professional experience in the automotive supplier industry as a Production Coordinator or a comparable position in a manufacturing environment.
Knowledge of Lean Management and Continuous Improvement (CIP).
