Mechanical Repair - Maintenance Millwright
The normal schedule is Monday through Friday, 8-hour shifts - though weekend overtime may be required occasionally.
Day Shift: 6:00 AM/7:00 AM to 2:00 PM/3:00 PM
Afternoon Shift: 2:00 PM/3:00 PM to 10:00 PM/11:00 PM
Night Shift: 10:00 PM/11:00 PM to 6:00 AM/7:00 AM
Pay Rate: $26.00 - $33.09 per hour

Position Overview:
Canton Drop Forge, a leading producer of large, closed die forgings in Canton, Ohio, is seeking Mechanical Repair Persons in our Maintenance Department.
Key Responsibilities:
- Mechanical service pipefitting and welding.
- Installs machinery and equipment according to blueprints.
- Dismantles machines and moves machinery and equipment and fastens them to foundations or other structures.
- Layout, assemble, install, and maintain piping systems, pipe supports and related hydraulic and pneumatic equipment.
- Welds metal parts or components of parts using gas welding or electrical arc-welding equipment to repair, strengthen or fabricate.
- Examine parts for defects such as breakage and excessive wear.
- Reassemble equipment after completion of inspections, testing, or repairs.
- Repair and replace broken or malfunctioning components of machinery and equipment.
- Performs ongoing preventative maintenance, overchecks, and equipment inspections.
- Other duties as assigned.
Physical Requirements:
- Constant standing, bending, stooping, lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, twisting, turning, and walking throughout shift.
- Ability to work with parts and equipment up to 100 lb. throughout shift, with assistive lifting devices.
- Work at heights up to 70 ft with appropriate PPE.
- Ability to work within very hot and industrial work environment during all seasons.
Canton Drop Forge is a Drug-Free Workplace. Must be willing to undergo and pass a drug test if hired - including hair follicle testing.
Desired Requirements:
- Industrial Maintenance: 2 years
- Mig & Stick Welding Experience: Preferred
