Essential Job Functions

The Department of Business Administration in the Austin E. Cofrin School of Business at the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay seeks applicants for two tenure-track positions in Supply Chain Management and Logistics to contribute to its growing undergraduate and new Master's program in Supply Chain Management. The Cofrin School of Business values university-level teaching experience, the ability to teach a variety of general business and discipline-specific courses, disciplinary expertise in forecasting, planning and analytics, or warehousing and inventory management. Candidates who possess a combination of previous teaching and business-related work experience are encouraged to apply. 

The successful applicant will contribute to a young, growing, forward-looking college and department embedded within Wisconsin's third largest metropolitan area. This position will be responsible for enhancing UW-Green Bay's mission-driven inclusive teaching efforts and creating and maintaining an educational environment that acknowledges, encourages, and celebrates those with diverse identities, beliefs, and cultural backgrounds.

What You'll Do

This position includes the following responsibilities:

• Teach a range of undergraduate foundational and advanced courses contributing to UW-Green Bay's rapidly growing business school and supply chain management undergraduate and graduate programs.
• Implement inclusive instructional strategies to increase support for students from underrepresented and first-generation backgrounds at UW-Green Bay.
• Perform scholarly activities consistent with rank, including developing a strong research program involving collaboration with faculty and students. 
• Mentor students in the "transcripts to resumes" program. 
• Perform institutional and community service. 
• Contribute to ongoing program development within the Austin E. Cofrin School of Business.
• Participate fully in the Austin E. Cofrin School of Business' AASCB accreditation efforts.

The Successful Candidate

Conditions of Appointment

The home campus of this position is Green Bay, and the successful candidates may be required to teach an occasional course at the Marinette, Sheboygan, or Manitowoc campuses. 

Position is an academic year, tenure-track appointment.  Applicants must be considered for tenure and promotion in six years, although tenure decisions may be at any time.  Promotion from Assistant to Associate Professor is simultaneous with tenure.  Excellence in teaching, sustained scholarly activity, and institutional service required for retention and promotion.  Official transcripts of the highest degree achieved will be required of finalist(s).  A criminal conviction investigation will be conducted on the finalist(s).  In compliance with the Wisconsin Fair Employment Act, the university does not discriminate on the basis of arrest or conviction record.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• Earned doctorate in Business, or closely related field, with specialization in Supply Chain Management or Logistics from an AACSB accredited institution.  ABD candidates will be considered; however, an earned doctorate in Business, or closely related field, from an accredited institution is a necessary condition for contract renewal.  ABD candidates will be hired into a terminal appointment at the rank of Instructor with a rate determined at the time of hire. Upon degree conferral during the terminal period, the contracted appointment with the rank of Assistant Professor will be reinstated.
• Ongoing record of scholarship, including peer-reviewed journal publications, consistent with the level of experience 
• Demonstrated potential for excellence in teaching
• Demonstrated potential for excellence in scholarship
