The Department of Technology Management and Innovation at the NYU Tandon School of Engineering invites applications for one full time, non-tenured, renewable faculty position in Technology Management and Innovation or a closely related discipline (details below), at the level of Industry Associate/Full Professor, with a start date of Spring or Fall 2024. Additionally, this position will serve as the Deputy Academic Director of the M.S. Management of Technology (MOT) Program.
An Industry Professor's primary roles are teaching, mentoring and educational innovation. The position will also entail administrative work and outreach in order to ensure the successful delivery and growth of the MOT program. The nominal teaching load for an Industry Faculty is 3 courses/academic semester (Spring and Fall), but while you are serving as the Deputy Academic Director, you will teach 2 courses/academic semester. Specific teaching assignments are determined based on the needs in the MOT program.
We invite applications from Faculty members or industry leaders with an exceptional record in Technology Strategy, Economics of Technological Change, Network Economics, Financial Analysis, Global Innovation, Organizational Behavior, Design Thinking (including Service Design and Design Strategy), Project Management, Product Management/Development or a closely related discipline.
You should be an excellent teacher and mentor. You should have a Ph.D. in a closely related discipline and teaching in these areas. A record of industrial experience is strongly preferred.

In compliance with NYC’s Pay Transparency Act, the annual base salary (for 9-month) range for this position is $100,000 - $150,000 for the Industry Associate/Full Professor rank.
