EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Engineer ($75,050 - $93,812) - Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Electrical Engineering or related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job. Internship preferred
Engineer III ($86,309 - $ 107,886) - Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Electrical Engineering, or related field, and at least three years of progressively responsible engineering experience in area of assignment, or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job.
Senior Engineer ($99,254 - $124,067) - Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Electrical Engineering, or related field, and at least six years of progressively responsible engineering experience in area of assignment, or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job.
CORE COMPETENCIES & ESSENTIAL DUTIES
Provides engineering support including analysis, design, implementation, operation, and maintenance of telecommunication systems, private networks, and technical services for both IT and OT environments. Specific duties include designing and leading medium to large scale projects with minimal guidance, supervising consulting services, lead to lower-level staff, material selection, bid evaluations, preparation of feasibility studies, and creating/updating specifications for associated telecommunication equipment. Assists with technical training and serves as subject matter expert to lower-level staff. Acts as on-call Engineer as assigned outside normal working hours. Consistent and reliable attendance is required.
Maintains the planning, design, analysis, construction, commissioning, integration, installation, operation, and optimization of telecommunication systems and networks.
Leads small to medium scale projects throughout the lifecycle of the project for data center networks, campus networks, DMZ networks, external networks, transport networks, fiber optic networks, radio networks, network security, DAS system, Wireless system, and VoIP systems.
Implements new telecommunication schemes, network schemes and proposed system changes to determine their effect on existing systems.
Implements engineering standards, standard materials, specifications, policies, procedures and guidelines for LES systems and applications.
Updates design prints for the OT networks and Visio designs for the IT networks.
Assists with conducting network modeling and analysis to construct a reliable, high-performance integrated network.
Assists with troubleshooting, diagnosing, and resolving network problems
