The Quality Engineer will ensure that Deployed Global Solutions products and processes meet established quality standards by identifying shortfalls, developing corrective measures, and implementing quality control systems.
Duties and Responsibilities/Essential Functions • Develop implement quality standards and quality control systems. • Plan, execute, and oversee inspection and testing of incoming and outgoing product to confirm quality conformance to specifications and quality deliverables • Assist operations and local quality function in tracking, documenting, and reporting quality levels as well as CSR, environmental and health and safety goals/KPIs • Analyze and investigate product complaints or reported quality issues to ensure closure in accordance with company guidelines and external regulatory requirements • Develop or update company complaint and inspection procedures to ensure capture and investigation, as well as proper documentation of complaints • Monitor risk-management procedures, and maintain and analyze problem logs to identify and report recurring issues to management and product development • Provide training and support to quality assurance team on systems, policies, procedures, and core processes • Monitor and analyze quality performance. • Collaborate with operations managers to develop and implement controls and improvements. • Ensure workflows, processes, and products comply with safety regulations. • Investigate and troubleshoot product or production issues. • Develop corrective actions, solutions, and improvements. • Review codes, specifications, and processes.

Skills and Specifications • Demonstrated knowledge of testing best practices, version control practices and defect management practices • Knowledge of quality assurance terminology, methods, and tools • High proficiency in computer technology and systems operations • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office applications • In-depth understanding of industry market trends and conditions • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills • Excellent verbal and written communication skills • Able to work efficiently in a team environment • Basic mathematical arithmetic skills
Supervisory Responsibility This position does not require the supervision of direct reports.
Work Environment This position operates in a professional office environment (mostly remote), facility, and field environments. We operate 24/7/365, inside and outside, in all weather conditions. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as laptop computers, smart phones, tablets, photocopiers, filing cabinets and other presentation materials. There is an expectation of clear communication in English both written and orally.
Physical Demands While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms. Ability to twist, turn, bend, lift, kneel, climb and stand. Occasional lifting up to 25 lbs may occur. Employee may be required to travel (at organization expense) in automobile and/or aircraft.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work Full Time – 40 hours per week. This position is remote. Ability to work flexible hours including nights, holidays, and weekends is required based on contract needs.

Required Education and Experience • Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Quality, Industrial, or Mechanical Engineering. • Professional certification, such as Six Sigma, Quality Engineer, or Quality Auditor preferred • 5+ years of experience in quality engineering, quality assurance, or a similar role. • Experience coding and using QA software tools and processes. • Strong communication and interpersonal skills. • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. • Excellent project management skills. • 4+ years of relevant, professional experience is required and must include: o Proficiency with Microsoft Office products: Outlook, Teams, Excel, Word, SharePoint o Superb attention to detail and the ability to prioritize and deliver in a fast-paced, constantly adapting environment. o Familiar with managing US Government contracts. o Knowledge of the FAR requirements. o Prior engagements with DCAA and other auditing organizations.
Work Authorization/Security Clearance • Successfully pass pre-employment (post offer) background check. • Successful pass pre-employment (post offer) drug test and motor vehicle record review.. • Must possess a valid driver's license. Have/maintain a clean driving record. • Must show proof of Covid vaccination, or approved exemption, prior to beginning work.
