Your next exciting career opportunity awaits you! The City of Tracy Development Services department is currently seeking a motivated and qualified individual to join their team. As a member of the Capital Improvement Project (CIP) design-engineering group, the ideal candidate must be a willing project collaborator, able to respond to shifting priorities and support the development of engineering knowledge and skills in assistant and junior engineers, and engineering technicians. The CIP group is responsible for the design and project management of municipal infrastructure projects including roadway, sidewalk, water, sewer and drainage system improvements, as well as new facility construction and facility improvement projects. The ideal candidate will have design experience in several of these infrastructure project types.
Education and Experience Requirements:
Equivalent to a bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or closely related field and Two (2) years of responsible professional engineering experience equivalent to Assistant Engineer with the City of Tracy.
Possession of valid registration as a Professional Engineer issued by the State of California.
Possession of, or the ability to obtain, a valid Class C California driver’s license upon appointment.
May be required to complete National Incident Management System (NIMS) Training.
The City of Tracy currently employees approximately 450 employees including full service Police and Fire departments. Tracy is centered in a triangle formed by major interstate I-205 to the North, I-580 to the west and I-5 to the east. This arrangement offers easy access to a modern, well maintained network of roads and easy access to the cities of Sacramento, San Francisco, San Jose and Los Angeles. Recreation hot-spots like Bay Delta, Yosemite, Tahoe and the San Francisco Bay are also within easy reach.
