Ada County Highway District is accepting applications for a full time, exempt position of Supervisor in Construction Services. Starting salary is $71,053 - $85,259 annually/DOQ.

The Supervisor supervises the activities and employees of the Construction Section including project inspection and the testing lab.
The Supervisor is responsible to oversee inspection of the work performed for District capital projects to assure quality and accuracy is met through implementation and application of District engineering standards on roadway and utility improvement projects performed by contractors.
The successful candidate must have strong supervisory skills supplemented with considerable knowledge of the principles and practices of civil engineering as applied to the design review and construction of public works projects, and Project planning and project management principles and practices.
Must have good knowledge of management principles and practices; Roadway construction materials; Contract administration; Development and use of construction schedules; and Construction hazards and safety practices.
Considerable working knowledge of the principles and practices of civil engineering and construction management obtained through experience, education, and training. Degree in civil engineering, construction management or similar field is preferred; OR any equivalent combination of experience and training which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities may be acceptable.
