The candidate shall be an experienced Civil or Coastal Professional Engineer that serves in a hands-on Civil and/or Coastal engineering design capacity responsible for the preparation of construction drawings, technical specifications and supporting design reports and calculations, reviewing designs performed by others, evaluating and processing engineering change control requests, and preparing and updating District standards for a broad range of water resource related projects for the Bureau.

Professional Engineer that serves as a high level technical expert for the Northern Everglades Section. The incumbent is responsible for providing planning and engineering services including guidance and recommendations on issues affecting water resources management and environmental restoration for ongoing and future restoration projects in support of the Northern Everglades and Estuaries Protection Program (NEEPP), as administered by the Division of Ecosystem Restoration & Capital Projects via Watershed Protection Plans.

Senior Engineer (or Senior Scientist)

Professional Engineer/Scientist position that provides technical services and makes decisions for a work unit that supports the success of several of the District's strategic programs and major projects of moderate scope with complex features. The services and decisions to be made for this job require a comprehensive knowledge and consistent application of theories, precepts, concepts, and practices related to a specific discipline. Incumbent is expected to plan, schedule, conduct, and coordinate detailed phases for a standard engineering project or process, or for a significant portion of a major engineering initiative for a resource area as a Professional Engineer, or under direct supervision.
