The San Joaquin County Department of Public Works is a team-oriented and progressive organization seeking an enthusiastic and talented individual to fill a senior level engineering position in the Bridge Engineering Division. The Senior Bridge Engineer will lead in the planning, design, administration, management and delivery of a wide range of bridge and related projects. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical and managerial skills with experience in the design and management of bridge engineering projects. The candidate will have excellent skills to effectively manage relationships with consultant design teams and provide informed recommendations to Public Works Administration. The candidate will demonstrate the ability to effectively provide information appropriately focused to the target audience, including the general public, management and elected officials. The ideal candidate has a track record of collaborating with customers, colleagues, consultants, external agencies, and industry experts to solve complex problems.

Minimum Qualifications
And Education: Graduation with a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or closely related field from a college or university accredited by the Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology. Licenses & Certificates: (1) Possession of a valid certificate of registration as a Civil Engineer as issued by the California Board for Professional Engineers, Land Surveyors and Geologists; and, (2) Possession of a valid California driver’s license. |
