Cardno is seeking a Water Resources/Environmental Engineer to work with a multidisciplinary team of accomplished engineers, biologists, chemists, economists, geologists, GIS technicians, and planners. Project work and clients include public, regulatory and conservancy agencies responsible for management of lands and protection of natural resources.
This position is targeted to individuals with training in Water Resources, and Environmental Engineering or equivalent experience.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
> Conducting research and compiling/summarizing data and information under direction of project managers and/or technical specialists > Entering and managing technical data and preparing graphs and tables, as needed > Assisting with preparation of technical reports, plans, and permit applications > Assisting technical specialists with collection of field data (e.g., fisheries, water quality, hydraulics/hydrology)
> Bachelor's degree in water resources or environmental engineering or related field
> 1 to 3 years of relevant experience; can be a recent graduate
> Hydrologic and hydraulic modeling experience a plus
> Coursework in aquatic sciences or fisheries a plus
> Strong quantitative skills > Must be reliable, responsible, and a team player > Must be able to communicate effectively with task and project leaders
> Must be able to read maps, follow directions, and adhere to safety protocols
> Self-motivated with strong initiative > Positive and energetic attitude
