We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Roadway/Highway Engineer in the growing Long Island office. The successful candidate should have experience working with NYSDOT, Nassau and Suffolk Counties and various local municipalities. Successful candidate should demonstrate ability to lead and manage small design groups.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

• Produce highway and civil designs required for new or rehabilitation roadway projects, or general site/civil improvements
• Apply the standards and analysis techniques described in the Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices, Highway Capacity Manual, AASHTO A Policy on the Geometric Design of Streets and Highways, et al
• Complete work accurately and in accordance with quality control and quality assurance procedures
• Effectively communicate and coordinate with other members of the design team. Manage, train and mentor less experienced engineers in production of Plans, Specifications and Estimates
• Project Engineering responsibilities related to project communication, schedule, budget and progress on various concurrent tasks
