Company provides valves, valve parts, valve testing products, and valve maintenance/testing services to domestic and international commercial nuclear power customers.
Perform the duties of the Quality Assurance Engineer as defined in the NQAM and supplementing procedures (Review customer purchase orders, review of engineering design in-put/out-puts, review of procurement documents, review and release of Work Order Routings, prepare document packages for the manufacture / construction of valves or valves parts.
Assist with the administration, implementation and oversight of the Quality Assurance Program for Valve and Valve Parts.
Perform Auditor activities including internal auditing (quality program review and maintenance), external auditing, perform supplier assessments, review of supplier programs and control and maintenance of ASL associated with the suppliers.
Determine root causes and provide recommendations to eliminate nonconforming issues in deficiency reports (DRs), Corrective Action Reports, Problem Reports, etc.
Interface with management and other Company associates, customers, ANI, suppliers and oversight organizations (NUPIC, NRC, ASME, NBIC, CSA, etc.) in meetings and as required in the execution of Company.
Participate in Company Kaizen Events, Planning and budget activities associated with meeting plan, forecast, other company metrics and goals.
Participate in other program maintenance and forecast activities as assigned by the Director Safety and Quality.
BS/BA degree or equivalent experience
Knowledge of industry Standards such as ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code is essential.
Knowledge of 10CFR50 Appendix B, 10CFR21, ANSI N45.2, NQA-1 and other piping codes is preferred.
Previous experience in a production environment is essential
Experience in Lean Manufacturing and other lean skills preferable
Excellent computer skills are essential, including Microsoft Office
Experience with material standards (ASME, ASTM, etc.), manufacturing, and specials processes.
