We have an extraordinary opportunity for a new or recent graduate from an electronics technology program to begin their career by joining our company as a Calibration Technician Trainee (Full-Time). We will invest in your professional growth by providing you with an initial six week training program located in our Addison (Chicago), IL calibration lab.
During this training program you will learn the skills necessary to perform basic mechanical and electrical calibrations, understand our Quality program and operating systems, while under the direct supervision of subject matter experts. You will receive living and travel assistance to offset your temporary living expenses for non-local candidates.
Once you successfully complete this initial training program you will be required to relocate to Rome, NY (with relocation assistance, if applicable) to continue your career development.
Must meet the requirements to drive a company vehicle (have a valid driver's license and clean driving record).
Must have the minimum of one of the following educational requirements:
AS Degree in Electronics Technology or other related degree.
Basic electronics training program from the U.S. Military.
Must have strong written and verbal communication skills.
Proficient with Windows, Microsoft Office Suite, with basic level of experience in Excel.
Capable of lifting up to 50 pounds unassisted as required.
Candidate must be willing to travel to local and regional on-site locations as needed.
Percentage of required overnight travel will vary based on business needs.
Due to US Department of Commerce export control regulations governing technical data of Tektronix products, Tektronix needs to know the citizenship of all its employees. Note that US Citizenship is not required for most positions. Hired candidates will be asked to bring proof of citizenship (passport, birth certificate, green card, visa or similar) on their first day of work.
